Ingredients (pizza 34 cm)

  • Pizza dough 400 gr
  • Sausages or boiled sausage 100 gr
  • Tomato 1 piece
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Olives 6-8 pcs
  • Parmesan (grated) 3 tbsp. l.
  • Basil 2-3 sprigs
  • Tomato sauce 3-4 tbsp. l.
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Oregano, wine vinegar taste
  1. If you are lucky enough to buy “real” sausages or boiled sausage, the sausage pizza is guaranteed to be excellent. Peel the sausages from the casing and cut them into thin circles - crosswise or diagonally. It is better that the sausages are sliced ​​thinly.

  2. The use of fragrant green basil in meat pizzas is as necessary, in my opinion, as beets in Ukrainian borscht. Green basil for pizza is like the final chord in a musical piece. In addition to taste, green basil leaves placed on top of the finished pizza can improve the appearance and overall composition, but this is optional. Finely chop the basil for pizza, not forgetting to leave 5-6 small leaves for decorating the finished pizza.
  3. It is better to prepare tomato sauce yourself, rather than using trivial tomato paste or, especially, ketchup from a bag. If you haven’t prepared homemade tomato sauce since the fall, you can chop the pulp of 1-2 ripe tomatoes, add spices and simmer the sauce under the lid for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Onion, preferably sweet, cut into thin strips and marinate in 1 tbsp. l. wine vinegar for at least half an hour. If you don’t have time, you can pour a glass of boiling water over the onion and vinegar for 5 minutes. This method of quickly pickling onions is quite acceptable. Be sure to rinse the onion with water before using it in the filling.
  5. Cut black or green pitted olives in half lengthwise. However, the pit is easily removed, so its presence in the olive is unimportant. Grate the Parmesan cheese onto a fine grater.
  6. Prepare yeast according to my recipe. The recipe is simple and straightforward. We took it as a basis and recommend it to everyone. After the dough has risen, knead it and stretch it into a cake 5-7 mm thick. Place the dough on the pan, after lightly greasing it with olive oil. Be sure to prick the dough with a fork in several places. If you want your sausage pizza to have a thin and crispy crust, you can add the toppings right away. If you cover the finished dough with a napkin and let it rise for up to 30 minutes, the dough will be softer and fluffier.

  7. Brush the dough with tomato sauce, especially carefully the edges of the dough and the edge. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza.

  10. Then arrange the sausage pieces. In general, the more sausages, the tastier the pizza with sausages, but you shouldn’t put sausages in three layers. Good pizza doesn't require a huge amount of toppings.

  12. At the very end, sprinkle the sausage pizza with grated Parmesan - most of it around the edge and less in the middle.

  13. Pizza with sausages is baked in an oven preheated to 180-190 degrees. Total baking time - up to 20 minutes. After 15 minutes, you need to check the degree of readiness of the dough by lifting its edge.

I never skip this step because it is very important! Italians always grease the base with oil to prevent an unpleasant soggy layer from forming between it and the filling. I trust Italian chefs and do the same! ;)

I put lecho from my own preparations on the dough. I have it from tomatoes, onions and my beloved bell pepper :)
But you can use any tomato sauce, paste or ketchup - if desired.

Next I placed a layer of sausages.

And coarsely grated cheese... Sprinkled with universal spices.
I didn’t add salt at all during the process, since both the dough and all products contain it in sufficient quantities.

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200°C.

Needless to say, the pizza was a hit? :) Since I baked it in the first half of the day, there wasn’t a piece left for tomorrow...
